Custom Dog Tooth Pendants: From an Individual Tooth to Gold

3 min read

A dog's baby tooth is a small record of a life: its curve, its proportions, the details that make it individual. THE ARCHIVE K9 creates custom dog tooth pendants in 14k gold, beginning with that individuality. The pendant belongs to a larger idea: an archival museum for dogs, documenting a life while it is being lived.

THE TOOTH, made through THE COLLECTION

THE TOOTH is the finished custom pendant you receive. THE COLLECTION is the process used to create it. During THE COLLECTION, you can send a photograph of your dog's tooth, which we use as the reference to make a pendant that is as close to a replica as possible.

THE COLLECTION

The second option within THE COLLECTION is to send the physical tooth. We send you a package, and you use it to ship the tooth back to our team.

Purchasing THE TOOTH automatically creates your customer profile and an Archive number for the dog whose tooth you commission. Adding information and photographs to your dog's Archive is optional. One customer profile can hold multiple dogs, each with its own Archive number. Further pendants for the same dog stay linked to that dog's existing record. THE COLLECTION is the process used to create each pendant, with a photograph or the physical tooth as the reference. Joining the launch list or submitting an inquiry does not create a customer profile. Pendants only; we do not sell chains.

What makes a dog tooth pendant custom?

The starting point is a photograph of your dog's tooth or the tooth itself, rather than a stock canine shape. A custom pendant should carry the character of that original into the finished piece. For Boots, No. 0001 begins with a 3D scan of his baby tooth. Its shape is the reference for the gold interpretation.

The connection between tooth and bail matters as much as the silhouette. The bail is the fitting above the tooth through which a chain passes. Together, the tooth, its setting and the identifying number make one considered object. Boots's reference carries the engraving No. 0001.

From a tooth scan to a gold piece

A scan records the tooth's surface in three dimensions. The jewelry design then brings that reference together with the bail and setting. The aim is to retain the tooth's individual character while creating a piece intended to be worn.

During THE COLLECTION, choose a photograph of your dog's tooth or send the physical tooth in the package we provide. Confirm what is needed for your commission, the proposed proportions and how the tooth will meet its setting. Those details should be understood before production.

Custom dog tooth necklaces: choosing the chain

If you are searching for custom dog tooth necklaces, the pendant and chain are two separate considerations. THE ARCHIVE K9 sells the custom gold pendant only. We do not sell chains, and a chain is not included. You may wish to wear it with a chain you already own.

Ask the team to confirm the finished bail opening and pendant measurements before choosing a chain. Consider the clasp as well as the chain itself: the fitting must pass through the bail. Length, weight and the way the piece rests are personal choices.

A record of companionship

A tooth pendant can celebrate puppyhood or a chapter of companionship. It does not need to begin with loss. Within THE ARCHIVE K9, the object is part of an Archive devoted to the individual dog and the evidence of their life.

Personal holiday gifts for dog lovers

For a recipient who values fine jewelry and the story of their dog, a custom pendant can be a personal holiday gift. Begin with their preferences: whether they wear gold, which chain they favor and whether they would like to take part in the commission. Confirm production and delivery arrangements with the team before planning the gift.

Begin with the individual

THE ARCHIVE K9 unveils November 15, 2026. Join the launch list for announcements, or contact hello@thearchivek9.com to discuss your dog's tooth and the details of a future commission.
